Would Nerd News be a good Idea?

So being a Video Game themed vlogger and a hard core nerd myself, I had an Idea. I've been thinking about doing a monthly 'Nerd News' vlog where I do updates on whats new in the world based on all things nerdy. Possibly ad a Moto News one too for all things motorcycle related. Im passionate about both and want to incorporate both into my vlog somehow but am just curious how others would enjoy something like that. Just Curious and would enjoy your opinions!

Btw, Id appreciate people checking out my channel and giving me some honest opinions if possible! Thanks guys :)

Sure, why not? I mean I know a lot of people that are into that stuff will probably already know what's going on in the gaming/tech world, but if you could start a conversation about it it could lead to some cool vlogs.

Thanks for the input guys. Ive been at this for 2 months roughly and haven't broken 10 subs yet lol so I'm looking for ways to be interesting and make my channel stand out abit.

I'll play devil's advocate and say that it's not exactly the best idea. Diversifying your content too much may lead to less people wanting to watch your content.

If it's racing games like Ride 2 or MotoGP, sure it's fine, the people that originally subscribe for the purpose of motorcycling content most likely do not mind, because it's still motorcycling related. But if you start covering gaming related topics that start to fly really far out of your original scope, your subs might just leave because there are those that are just not interested in gaming. At all. And being subscribed to you is messing their recommendations and they'll start getting gaming videos on their front page that they don't want to watch.

It doesn't hurt to start up a second channel to put your gaming stuff on.

This is probably sound advice. the motovlogging space is so saturated now it's probably best to try a whole bunch of shit until something sticks.

The Mighty Car Mods guys not only have a second channel where they do their less mainstream stuff, they also do The Unicorn Circuit, a weekly show with news and random stuff. That's one approach.

These guys are already so huge that they can basically do whatever they want and people will watch it just because it's them. In your case, I don't think one gaming vlog per month would scare away moto subscribers. If they don't like it they can just skip it.
