Do "serious" Motovloggers With High Sub Counts Exist?

I've been wondering that and I'm not sure how to even research it. I've noticed all of the "big" vloggers just ride around doing dumb shit and messing with the public. But, aren't they missing the point of a vlog? Do they even count in the sense of the word "motovlogger"? What I'm getting at is where are all the vloggers with 100k+ subs that actually talk about topics with substance. I don't think what they do is vlogging. It's riding around and creating controversy, rage, and copying Walteriffic's extrovert style. Not to say any of this is bad, because I watch some of them. But when did being a motovlogger mean riding around acting like a tween who's just touched Justin Bieber. If you're riding around inciting road rage and being an overall idiot then maybe calling yourself a motovlogger isn't the best thing for them and the community at large.

When did having an actual topic become terrible or unpopular?

When your big enough you can do what ever you want I guess.

I really only watch RJ and BVG as far as larger ones go now.

Onve you get a following for shit, you need to keep pumping out shit. Lets face it agro and stupidity sell to a lot of people hence all the crap clip shows on TV.

It's kind of disheartening and sad. But I guess fame and money usually rules out. I like RJ because he never goes out to make anything out of it. He just films the traffic and what he usually goes through to get through it. But he has also spawned hordes of copy cats that try their best to replicate his style and traffic conditions. It's just saturated with BS disguised as motovlogging.

People just don't go to YouTube to see serious stuff. They want to be entertained or learn something.

What is your opinion of a "serious" motovlog? What's the topic?

I'd say that Walteriffic is fairly serious ... he's not hooning around everywhere and not screaming about stuff or causing road rage. He's just fun and pets dogs and talks to people. He's not talking about crime statistics or preventing child abandonment or anything though. So, where's your line?

As vloggers we put ourselves in a very strange place. We basically talk nonsense and expect people to sit and watch what we have to say. It's a very narcissistic act. That's why you have to do it for you and not to get subs or accept what you should do for subs and go that route.

I honestly don't think you can have both ... if you can it's super rare. I mean, if you're in to creating My Little Pony figurines from cow dung, it might be cool to you but people don't have to watch it. And would you blame them? It's silly ... just like our vlogs.

I guess serious is a relative term. What I mean by "serious" is a motovlogger weighing in on some current event or some such. It's a popular style throughout YouTube but not present in motovlogging. I have always been curious if there even was that type of motovlogger that has a sub count above 50k. I don't know if the medium presents itself to that kind of content though. Maybe those that find that type of content entertaining aren't interested in seeing it presented from a motorcycle. I know there are motovloggers who touch on the topics from time to time but not one that is just specifically that kind of content. Maybe the audience and demand just isn't there.

There certainly is a bigger audience for "crazy" vloggers. And I think it's also a lot easier for that kind of vloggers to get more views and subs because it could be more appealing than just listening to a vlogger talk about something serious. Does that mean that the "crazy" vloggers have better content than the more "normal" ones? Absolutely not. I'll take BVG or RJ over JakeTheGardenSnake anyday!

Guess it depends on your definition of "serious".. Some could say those guys are serious crazy, or serious shit, or etc etc etc.

End of the day, some of them are doing this for a living, they need to follow the trend, follow the hype. They cannot just stick to serious things when you know your paycheck is on the line knowing that doing crazy/silly stuff gets you a better payout.

I don't see myself ever doing this full-time, nor can I really know how it's like to be a full-time YouTuber, can't really pass judgement on these guys why they do what they do.

talking about current topics and what not, not something I go to motovlogs for. I go to the news for that.

As for "serious" in my opinion, people like walteriffic, 6foot4honda, etc. Who ride and talk about random things are what I enjoy. It's people filming while doing normal riding things. those are the ones I enjoy the most.

I just think he tries too hard. He's no different than any other annoying internet soaked vlogger, the only difference is that he rides a motorycle. I used to like his videos until he started tap dancing and doing crap for views.
