Has anyone ever put on branded Decals (Suzuki/Honda etc) on fairings/bellypans? Just wandering if it peels the paint off when you take off, or to stop it coming off and look good do I need a garage to lacquer it etc? any advice appreciated.

Should be fine when you peel it off.
Might need to buff it tho to get the outline off if you have left it on for a while.

Be sure its a vinyl decal and prepare the surface with some prepsol and you wont have a worry. If it sits in the sun alot then over a while once its removed it will have a shadow of the decal due to paint fading around it. Cheap stuff will die quicker and go all chalky and will flake off, buy a decent one and you can usually get 5 to 10 years life before it does it even being weathered.
A tip for good placement - buy a vinyl applicator and also draw a cross across the top tape strip to line up straight press in the middle and use the applicator to drag out to the edges. Will stick well and wont get air bubbles. Any little ones can be worked out by scrapingfrom centre to edge with the applicator.

Cheers mate. I live in the UK so trust me, it doesn't have prolonged periods in the sun!!!!!

You can put a layer or two of clear coat over the whole fairing with the decal on it for a more permanent solution.
