contour hd

hello eveyone im planning to start vlogging but need to get my contour hd modded so it has a external mic. i bough it around six months ago for motorcross so never needed a mic then. does anyone know how to do this and could i send you my camera and some £ to do it for me?

Another idea is to use a dictating machine. Olympus are good. Then line up audio and video as separate tracks

OK. I modded my Roam 2 and it was a piece of the proverbial. But that's because I'm an electronics engineer If you still want to do this then I might consider it, I might ask for a bit of compensation - but I like to help a fellow vlogger so there won't be any 'ripping off' involved!

It's better to use an external voice recorder, that's what most people do, it saves mucking about with the camera so should give you some good resell value

I also find that I get better quality audio from using a dictaphone, than having it all recorded at once. I've got the editing sorted, so it doesn't take more than a couple of seconds to sync together.

HOWEVER, sometimes I do wish that I had an all in one package. If I had the money, I'd get the Contour+2. It's an incredible bit of kit

Yes, well maybe. But I don't have to synch anything and the audio quality is more or less OK, except at speed. I'm thinking about getting a Contour+2 right now myself, as it happens...

I did the mod, but then I decided to use a seperate device for audio to do my vlogging which gives me more control... check out my channel
