I ordered two class 10 32gb micro sdhc cards off amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XZM6VG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

here's the link. i wasn't sure if they were legit, but i got my cards 3 days ahead of estimated delivery date. I'm actually still waiting on a mic and extra batteries/charger shipping from amazon. I like to promote good companies especially when i get good deals. I just wanted to share this with you guys.

pics or it didn't happen.

Not sold by Amazon, but fulfilled by them, probably a good sign. And it's a product that has been superseded so quite possibly a genuine end of line bin.

Looks legit to me. I just bought one of those today but I got it in store. Only difference I see is that the one I got in store has a 48mb/s write speed but that won't matter for the drift. Nice find I may save the link in case I need another card.

I'm still a little upset that the drift won't use the sdxc cards that I have for the gopro and sony but oh well it's not like the drift needs the super high write speed that those cameras use.

Why are people going for such expensive cards when the good quality (non-fake Samsung/Sandisk) U1/Class 10 are way more than enough for everything up to and including the newest 4K30 on the Hero 4 Black cameras?

@SwissMotard Simply because getting the genuine major branded high speed cards means it's pretty much guaranteed that it's going to work.

Loads of cheap cards about, and sure there's a premium for top brand, cheap for no brand and in between. I have doubts over a name at too much a discount unless from a premium retailer.

...mmm, I'd rather spend my money on a good set of Alpinestars gloves than spend it on an SD card that has a legit equivalent, be $10 cheaper and have a return policy...

...but then again, that's just me  .....

Not what I meant.

Yes get genuine Samsung/Sandisk etc, but why pay twice the price for a class that you don't need? Same brand, but wrong class of card for the requirements.

£11.43 for a perfect genuine 32GB Samsung card direct from Amazon or over twice the price for another 32GB Samsung with overkill specs that you will never use. Exactly the same performance in your camera, double the price. I think that's crazy.

You'll need 4K60 to make use of anything higher than Class 10/U1 though as 4K30 is still well under the speed rating.

By the time you have the equipment for that you will not want to be limited by a measly 32GB storage as a 4K30 video is over 4GB for 9 minutes, and at 4K60 you will run out of space after only 30 minutes!!!

The prices will have dropped so much that buying a high class card now really is a false economy and pretty crazy.

I may look in to these cheaper ones. I'm not convinced that my class 10 UHS1 PNY card is all it's cracked up to be in the baby GoPro, so maybe worth a punt on another.

Keeping my PNYs as backup cards, slightly off footage is better than no footage. I must try the Ghost S on the PNY I have in the baby GoPro, see how it compares.

You're looking too long term... I'm talking short to mid term ;) (like a second or third camera that require higher specs). 4K is just overkill anyways ~_~ . Don't need an iMax Theater in order to watch the news or a vlog >_> .....

So my point still stands, there is absolutely no reason to get anything above a U1/Class 10 for any camera out now or in the near future.

If you want to waste money that's fine, but I'm trying to help all of the others currently looking for the best card for the job at a sensible price.
