Canyon Carver

Still in the process of getting all of the footage I want for this, but it's a work in progress. Not sure if I want to keep all the parts in the final edit.

I've never done any editing quite like this (the video is longer than what I uploaded thus far), so I'm learning things as well.

Would love some constructive criticism.

Thanks,
CT.

My opinion:
>Like a bullet train
That is a no-no. It has been used here:

Yeah, little problem with popular music. It will restrict playback on certain parts of the world or on mobile. Browse some audio libraries and get another song. Soundcloud, Jamendo are a good starting point.
You used a wide angle lens on the entire video, weigh if that lens gives the effect you want, try retaking with <90° and compare the results.
When you go around the bike, try to use some equipment to keep the camera stable or if you don't have any, try to gently stabilize with software.
A good source of a 90° camera is your cellphone if it can take decent HD video.

Thanks for the feedback. Wasn't aware the song was as popular as it is. I found it while looking for royalty free/creative commons music.
As for the camera shake, I agree with you 100%, but just don't have the gear. Don't have the budget to buy a stabilizer or anything like that. I'm trying to buy a new DSLR that can record 1080p (see Nikon D5300), but thats expensive, haha. So I'm just using my Gopro for now. I figure later in the year my budget will free up a bit so you can expect to see better videos. Plus I'm using all this as a learning experience in Sony Vegas Pro 12.
I want to be able to adjust the focus, but can't with the aperture/f. on the gopro.

That is probably the most popular vlog overlay music I've seen around. Not just on trailers but on whole videos aswell. One more person using it won't hurt right?

Yeah, but when I hear "Like a bullet train" I think I'm going too fast and a car is about to cut in front of me and my life should start flashing inside my eyes.

All shot with the Gopro Hero 3+ Black in 1080p or 1080p Superview
sweet. Amazing quality! Oh but one piece of constructive critisism... maybe add a few words on it? and possibly adding an ending which leaves the viewer thirsty for more :D

Not sure yet... but I think I may be able to pull off something like this for the music. I just like the energy dubstep style music brings.

Moonlight Sonata Beethoven Dubstep:

You said Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven?
Here's an absolutely amazing "cover" of the third movement by Banya. It's not "free music" but close to zero chances to get it flagged.

Still indecisive about the song, but this is a little bit more of the same video. I am still filming, but we are having about a week of thunder storms, so I can't exactly get the footage I want. Patience.
