Channel Custom Url Wtf!

So when did this come in i now have to wait to make a custom URL tryed to follow most of the points to get my url change but nouthing seems to let me oh well the long one will have to do for now or just use my .com as it leeds there

custom URL'S you now have to earn. youtube have a certain benchmark of viewers' subscribers to which you can add them

I'm intrigued as to the difference between a banity name for you as the user and one for the channel. I've got user/lurchonabike, but mych channel/ is a random string of letters.

I'm curious as to why some url's are /user/; /channel/; /c/; etc. That's the goofiest thing I've ever seen ~.....

I noticed the same thing the other day. I have 2 channels and one of them I can change and the other won't let me.

Even if you have /user/x you can drop the user part and it will work fine.

You don't actually have www.youtube.com/lurchonabike as it redirects automatically to www.youtube.com/user/lurchonabike as above.
