Whats your general opinion on the 500? I'm looking at getting myself a bike pretty soon, and that is one of my options

General opinion: It is amazing for the price I'm definitely loving it so far. It fits into the learner legal requirements for my state for motorcycles, and is unrestricted Other motorcycles around this CC range have to be sold with restrictors to be learner legal.

The gear shifter was just something missed by the mechanic, could have happened to any motorcycle with the same setup.

Sounds pretty decent, one of the other bikes that I am looking at is the Hyosung GT650R, which sadly is restricted to be LAMS approved hahaha

Hyosungs get a pretty bad rap...

I was looking at the Yamaha FZ6R, however, that's got a throttle restrictor on it (instead of an ECU restrictor) which i thought was a really terrible idea...

Just having a look at Yamaha's website, the MT-07 looks pretty impressive
