Can Of Worms. What Annoys You About Other Bikers?

So let's hear it

What annoys you about other bikers?

I have two

1: Bikers who never make mistakes. They think they know everything

2: People with custom bikes. They always think you're jealous if you simply don't like their bike

Hit the nail on the head mate, but i may also add the snobs, who look down on any bike that isnt a 1000cc sports bike, yet have massive chicken strips and what not

I hate how bikers act so entitled on the road over "cagers." Yes a lot of car drivers can be dangerous and a lot of the time cause accidents involving bikers but I feel they're tarred with a very broad brush and it is undeserved.

That's every motovlogger then lol

You're right though a lot of bikers have heads up their arsed and think they have greater rights than anyone else

I've not met those people. I ride with a blade most weekends and his chicken strips touch the metal lol

Most of what's listed above bugs the crap out of me, but my personal favorite are the guys who tell everyone what they should ride. For some reason it's almost always a supersport, generally a 1000. Half the time they can't ride for shit either, but seem to know what everyone else should be on. I'm just about to the point of bitch-slapping the next fool who tells me seriously that my bike is too heavy and doesn't handle worth a damn.

On group rides .... I know it's a group and you stick together just a little.... But when a leader is just riding soooo slooooooow .... I don't want to smash the speed limit into tiny shards! ... But come on! ... 90kph on a 110kph freeway!? .... And then .... Zooming in and around the traffic when we get into a built up area and 'it's slowing us down' ???? ....

I really must have a word with him one day soon! ... Lol ... He a good mate though and I don't want to bruise his ego too much

Speak with the rest of the group and reach a consensus on how to ride. What speeds to ride in what conditions and all that. Then find someone willing to not only lead the pack but also ride to those points. How you present the solution is the key to not bruising his ego, and how you do it changes from person to person. I took myself out of the lead position on the group rides/meetups that I organize because I tend to run away from the rest of the group. Usually there's a few that will keep up, but things fragment quickly. Basically it's difficult for me to throttle myself and ride for everyone, not just myself. Sounds like this guy has the same issue, but doesn't recognize it. The group is not prisoner of the leader, the leader is there to tell people where to go and to warn the rest of the pack of dangers.

'Busa's with stretched swing arms
I can let those go if the rider has sound reasoning for it. Perhaps if it's used as a drag bike, or they like accelerating hard without too much effort needed to keep the nose down.

and 99% of the people who ride them.
That's the real problem. When they get off and look at your bike and say "Why ride something that slow?" Had a guy on a stretched AND lowered Hayabusa give me shit about my VFRs top speed. He couldn't leave me alone when I told him I'd only gotten it to 110 (I don't care about blazing speed in a straight line, it's boring and needlessly hard on the equipment.) Oddly enough when I accelerated into an interchange ramp on the freeway he fell way back and I didn't see him again till we got to the destination. Go figure.

Yeah for sure @Trinith ... Good thoughts and I agree ...

We've tried a plan usually ... It's tricky though ... No one wants to really step up and lead, I'll lead no problem but won't do it all the time ... And some destinations I won't know yet .. Plus I don't want to be pushing to lead all the time, it's cool to be back in the group exchanging nods or pointing out scenery ...

And decision by committee , fragments with us quicker than the ride does .. Lol ? ...

It's usually only 5-8 of us anyway ... Few of the lads go on bigger 20+ or 50+ rides .... Too much mayhem and such for me...

Solo or 1 mate is great ... Specially while doing a VLog!! :D

Most of my concerns have already been addressed, but the one that gets me the most is when other riders go flying around a slow car to come to an immediate stop once you pass them (think getting in front of a car while approaching a red light) and making them lock up the brakes to avoid rear ending the idiot on the motorcycle. Something I will never do on my bike and something I hate while I'm in my car.

The thing that bugs me is the guy who owns five top-of-the-line bikes and then shows all of them off. I mean, if you have the money and want to, then go ahead... but can't a person just enjoy / put all of their love into one (or several different types) without being cocky? I don't know, maybe it's just me.....
