Heyo!

So, I want to start doing some vlogging but having a tough time choosing the right camera. Obviously I want something that has good picture quality, but I also want something that I can attach an external mic to. Anyone got any advice?

Honesly for just easy to do and simple vlogging I would say the drift selection go for the hd 1080 or the ghost or ghost s budget depending all easy to use and have external mics with brilliant picture quality

so drift is the way to go.....but what about attaching a microphone? I want to attach the camera to the side of my helmet but don't think you'd be able to hear me without using an external mic

All you would have to do is run the mic inside the helmet like everyone else does

Very true! I wasn't sure how they'd done it at first till a guy on youtube said how he'd done it haha!

All i did with mine was buy the drift mic find a place for it just behind the cheek pad with the mic poking out and the excess cable got wrapped around the camera which also adds secruity to the camera so it wont just fall off out of the drift slides
