It is sad to think people will go out and buy subs...but they are lying to themselves but if helps them sleep better at night then good for them....maybe just put out better content and they wouldn't feel the need to buy subs in the first place?
motovlogging has nothing to do with the amount of subs or "fame" as someone put it, it's about being apart of something better than that...sharing your stories with people who share the same interested as you, if your doing it to try and make money then i'll tell you now, your better off getting an extra 2 hours of work a week because that's about what you'll make off youtube for 12months.
I have Competitions now and then as a way of thanking you all for the endless hours on videos that i have watched over the years, i personally never ask anyone to sub my channel, if they like my crap and sub then yeah...that is pretty awesome hehe
At the end of the day, motovlogging should be something you enjoy doing, it should never be about how many subs/money or lol fame you or someone else has or is getting over you....the day that happens is the day i will stop.

The community of people on here have been excellent to me and many others, its a very cool community and where else would you find a bunch of people willing to share their knowledge about bikes, action cameras and film editing?
In all honesty it doesn't matter if someone buys subs/comments etc. There are two main ways to use youtube, as a hobby and as a business. As a hobby people just upload what they like and enjoy the feed back etc. As a business people will up the best they can and do what ever they can to achieve their goals. So be it. Someone that uses it as a business is not a sell out or destroying the community, the community is way stronger than that.
As for naming and shaming, it serves no purpose and can only harm the community again as conjecturer is often wrong and yes there can be smoke without fire so don't start that
So in conclusion
Buying subs etc.... it doesn't matter.
Staying friends does.
Now running out of toilet roll after a night on the lash DOES matter.

At the end of the day, I don't know whether Downshift wanted to cause all this, but its happened, and we all need to draw a line under what has happened, and move on, and get the forum back to the friendly community it once was.

stuff like this is stopping people from Motovlogging, all the bitching about stuff that could be settled over a skype chat or something,Notovlogging is all about making people laugh and sharing what makes you happy, i'm hoping to get motovlogging when i get the essentials and in my head im thinking that what if people start subbing to me at a quick rate (bearing in mind i aint the sort of person to buy my way to the top), i sub to at least half the people talking in this forum, and people are gonna unsubscribe because of how childish there being on here

I have ever right to be. I started motovlogging just like the rest of you. I do it as a hobby just for fun. Like I've said before if I wanted a youtube account for making money I would have just started a minecraft channel and just built huge penises on peoples worlds. And I'm a certified motorcycle tech and can make some crazy money on the side if I want. But I like motovlogging so thats what I do in my free time. I told my self "if I could get a few subs that like me and share my out look that would be great" and I would be contempt with that. Well f- me I blow up. And my subs are great. I've had to lean on them a bit lately with crazy shit going on in my life and they always have my back. I still hardly get any dislikes. I get all kinds of love and positive comments. They care and I'm vary grateful to have them. It pisses me off after all this to have some one call me and my subs out as a fake.
