Budget Armor

pahahaha no man fuck that i meant if you buy something cheaper expect to buy it twice because of the quality ect, man sleep deprivation sucks

Dont blame it on that... I know what you were doing

But seriously though

Buy decent kit, Maybe two sets if you can... (give them time to air out etc)

I'm Mr. ATGATT tbh. I've had very minor road rash from sliding down a road when I came off my bicycle and if that hurt like a absolute fecker I can only imagine what road rash will be like at 30mph+

I can't help but shake my head at the bikers who ride only wearing a T-shirt, shorts and trainers (Saw one like that on a bloody R1 the other day, squid much?)

aha, i dont know im sure that was the saying, buy cheap and buy twice.
or if you buy cheap not be able to buy again after a crash
Yep exactly my point. Can't risk your life like that. Even if you are a great rider. The cars and other vehicles around you are what bring danger to your life. And you need to be prepared for it.

After witnessing more than my share of friends take spills, I've learned to wear the best quality gear I can afford. Professional riders wear close to the body armor to prevent the shifting of the protection during a fall. Most riders wear their jackets, riding pants and sometimes helmets way too loose. And as CBRHoonigan said, buy quality from the get go vs getting the cheap stuff and realizing it's crap and going back to buy the good stuff anyhow.

I personally use a Icon Stryker Vest, with a Tech3 slide jacket for sleeves if I take off the sleeves of my Street Jersey for a odd reason.
I recommend it as I forget it is there under my T-Shirt only issue it is a Back and UPPER chest protector.
Minimum kit I ride with is below, can't stand it when people ride in trackies and SuperDry jackets, had one on a Moped ask me what will happen if I came off with all this kit on and he was waring no gloves open face helmet and trackies and flip flops lmao. FYI I do ride with the sleeves a lot (were drying on the washing line)

I actualy bought one of these (not THIS one, but something very similar)for our summer days of hell. I am aware it will only protect against impacts, not roadrash. But in the city, and at the speeds I ride, impacts would account for 90% of damage, not roadrash. Its a calculated risk.
Plus, I can stick a gopro on the shoulder and get a BADDASS angle. And I look like robocop. its fun watching little children either run away in panic, or come running to me :D
