Right basically i just came back from the mechanics and he fitted a new starter coil onto my scooter, it was working fine on the way back home, on the way back it started pissing down with rain and hail and it got completely soaked. Then i wanted to go out on it again just now and it started fine and once i revved it it cut off and stopped. the carb is all good and it has a new spark plug.
Could it be to do with the rain?
Any ideas?
Please help!

Scooters (especially piaggio) just don't like rain, let it dry out and try again, you'll likely find that it's fine.

I fitted a small mudflap behind my front wheel on my Fly 50 to stop water getting onto the engine and this improved it dramatically :)
