Blurring Speedo?

your in Australia yeah?

the answer is Yes. Australian Statue of Limitations act is 12 to 18 months on prosecutable footage under the new Hoon laws.
However this law can be granted approval for footage upto 3 years old..
Police just have to prove you own the vehicle, the youtube channel and was riding, Magristrate will rule you are the probable rider in the evidence provided and charge you accordingly.

I know this because i have been warned about my footage, I now know the Limitations act and have no need to hide my identity as Police already know who i am.

So my advice to you if you plan on posting footage of yourself doing 250 over the limit.
Make sure its older then 12 months, Have irrefutable proof this is the case, if you are charged, expect the magistrate to grant the 3 year Limitations act, Police will seize your hard drives, your youtube channel and go over every video with a fine tooth comb in order to charge you for every possible infringement..

this happened to that suicide rider vlogs guy because he was doing 250 in 60kph zones and posted it on youtube, Had advertisement revenue that police will also use as benefiting from crime etc....

POLICE DONT NEED TO SEE THE SPEEDO. If they know the date the offence occurred, the location, you and your bike. they will use the footage and create a estimated speed to charge you on.

Always thought it would be nice to live in Aussie land but I'd get eaten by most of the insects and lose my licence within a week

you would have UK licence here aka international A1 or whatever its called so cops would only fine you. If you get caught doing 50 over then they would come down hard, but for everything else its a fine. so maybe 300pound per fine.

That's nothing!

In Switzerland the fines are financially crippling.

Switzerland hates anything with a motor, that's why the women are hairy... But why do you guys get the best roads!?

Oh they hate bicycles too...One of my friends got a $35 EURO ticket for riding his bike the wrong way down a 1 way street, they blocked the street in front of him

South africa they dont even bother sending you a fine ... (only applies to international licences)

i'd love to hand out tickets to cyclists...and i ride 2-4 times a week...

i'm not saying i'm a golden child but if you're smart no one will ever be annoyed by your actions...

Similar here in Germany.
No using the washing machine on a Sunday, OR between 13:00 - 14:00 on a weekday (Lunchtime).
No washing your car in the street.
No working on your car/bike in the street.
No Hoovering on a Sunday!

BUT, speeding fines are linked to how much over the limit you are going. I think 10 or so kph over gets you about €25. 20 over its about €50, then you start getting points.

Also parking fines are laughable. €25 max if you didn't have a ticket. But a local told me recently that if you have a ticket, but it runs out, then you're 'purposely' overstaying your parking and its €40-€50!

WAHN SINN!

I dunno, I'd take a £25 fine for parking in London as normal parking is considerably more than that :)

And what's with a ban on domestic appliances in your OWN HOME?!!!

ME TOO! I used to live in Soho and my closest place to park was £4.80/hour! Nuts.

I think the appliances rules are mainly for the cities as the startling majority live in apartment blocks. So it's to keep the noise rumbling through your ceiling down on the day of rest!

OH and another good one in Germany is NO HGV's on a Sunday. Absolutely blanket, all out, no exceptions, total ban.

Oh and also, I'm now not so worried about blurring out my speedo!

I only ever creep slightly above, and even then once you account for the 10% or so inaccuracy, it's really negligible.

And as somebody else said, much easier to prosecute someone pulling wheelies in Public. no grey area there!!
