Bluetooth Headset For The Voice Recording?

Not paired with a Go Pro or anything. I'm thinking of getting those 20 dollar headsets that get you a phone connectivity and recording the mic from that on my iPhone. Thoughts?! Anyone ever done that?

That would be cool to use the app on the phone as dedicated audio recording but what if Alfred calls you from the cave? Wouldn't it interrupt the recording?

I've tried bluetooth sound recording with the camera running on my old Windows phone, but it defaulted to the built in mic. I've never tried it with just a sound recorder, because I use my phone for a "face cam."

Hmmm not sure how that would work. I would imagine it could, but I kind of like having the hard wire myself. Nothing to get in the way of working other than actual hardware failure. As R-Rated said if you get a call that might mess everything up.

I used my phone with the mic on the earbuds stuffed into my helmet for my first few vids until I got a real mic, and it sounded good. I imagine BT could work too. There may be a slight sync delay if you were using your phone for video as well, but since you're using separate devices for video and audio anyway you'd have to sync them anyway, so no big deal.

What gopro are you rocking? You can get the audo adapter and a lav mic for no more than around $10 USD

Alfred calls on a RedComm (it's like a BatPhone but Intercom for RiR) ;) Good call though.I can always record on a separate iPod to make sure nothing gets interrupted.

Eh, it's not a Go Pro. It's Energy Sistem Action cam and it has a separate audio input jack for mic. My problem is that I use it in its waterproof case. I wouldn't wanna drill/ruin the actual water proof case for the mic.

As for the noted delay. I got Plural Eyes 4 which actually does automatic syncing of separately recorded audio to the video. It's expensive but I got it for my full time job and boy is that a life saver! No more weeks on just syncing audio and video.

Ahh got ya. I ended up ordering another case for my gopro so I could drill through it. That's honestly the best solution. I also ordered a special made case that had openings on the side from a 3rd party and it was a complete piece of junk so stay away from those too haha

these guys offer a waterproof case for 30Euro to be honest that's a little too much to buy for drilling purposes. I should either make my own bracket/frame holder for the camera or go with separate recorder. Dammit

Yeaaaa they are totally pricey...the go pro stuff is even more on top of that.

Dammit eh? I just don't get the whole idea of a mic jack and no mount that will accomodate that. They don't offer frame holders or anything like that.
