Black Friday

Our little old country South Africa has been trying to mimic Black Friday for a few years now. Everyone from tech to normal grocery shops, run BF specials. One shop opens at midnight countrywide. No idea what its like now in the US, but for us its become a LOT of marketing and very little discounts.

I work in the online financial space so I woke up early, got to work early and spent the day looking at dashboards. Horrible traffic home, check more dashboards. Anyway I bought nothing, someone tell me you got something nice? I almost bought pants from Triumph, but funds:(.

I did get a little spendy... on stuff I wanted anyway... I doubt I saved more than I could have got if I haggled on any other day tbh, but it is nice to spend one ourselves and I enjoyed doing so! :-)

You did it the right way, get stuff you already want at a discount.

Im actually keen to buy BBC Micro:Bit, I can get them for 20% off (they are quite cheap to begin with). They super cool little programmable chips with sensors, meant for teaching programming to kids, but super powerful for the price.

I haven't purchased anything yet. I had my eye on 128gb Sandisk SD cards but my wife said not to worry about that. ;) haha.

I have had my eye on an Insta360 one x for about $340 or the Rylo 360 is half price as $200 but I kind of want the insta360 cam. I think I'll wait longer to see if prices drop and I need to check out the GoPro max I think it's called.

I have both the GoPro Max and the Insta360 One X, both great cameras. Both have advantages over the other, and both have disadvantages.

A bit of a delayed response but like others I got a bit shoppy, but just for things I wanted anyway.
The discounts appear great at the time but they are just deals you could get in January sales.
