So in the US we have the "biker wave."

Do you guys in the UK (other other left-side driving countries) do this too? If so, what's different with the technique.

Was just wondering about this the other day ...

No, we use a slightly exaggerated nod of the head. If there are many riders I will show a peace sign with my left hand in front of my dash instead of nodding like a bobble head, but I haven't had much success with this method

In Oz we tend to do a head not, like a diagonal flick up or down, or an over the dash wave with the left hand, or the occasional over the top flamboyant wave to a mean looking cruiser just for shits and giggles... Although that last one may just be me ;)

That all makes sense. We do a nod as well in occasions where the left hand isn't free. I do at least.

Nod over here. Mainly because we drive/ride on the left so we pass each other on the right hand side so can't raise a wave with the throttle hand. Occasionally a leg flick!!

One of the major differences between the UK and mainland Europe. Those mainlanders are a lot more flamboyant in their biker greetings. :')
