Biker Faceplants Into UPS Truck

I saw this on liveleak not too long ago; Defininetly decided to look down at the wrong time. Also seems he is letting himself focus more on talking than the big brown tank in front of him. Lesson learned not only for this guy, but also for vloggers to be such as myself.

He seemed to be okay, just wind knocked out of him. Hopefully some common sense knocked into him as well for that matter.
 
I like how the driver doesn't even come out to check on him, bad timing to be Honest by looking down for a split second then your delivering yourself, sorry couldnt resist the punch line.


On a serious note, I hope he was okay, like OP said the video is old.

I feel bad for laughing at the "delivering yourself" :D
 
I think drivers of these trucks are not even allowed to come out during accidents like this. They can transport some valuables and they are forbidden to leave it.

I would love to see the audience retention chart on this one. I know I personally watched from :08 to :12 about 50 times already.

I sent an email to VisorDown about the article:

To whom it may concern,

I am very disappointed with the statement "motovlogging is dangerous" which was made in this article http://www.visordown.com/snippets/motor ... 21035.html referring to the idiot who can't wear gear or look where he is going crashing. The cause of the accident was him choosing to look down, it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he was vlogging.

I myself am a vlogger, and on my channel alone you will find hours of footage that i have shot and you will not find any dangerous moments or close shaves in it, and i haven't just not uploaded them, they haven't happened. If we follow the arguments made in the video, sat navs on motorcycles are also "dangerous".

To brand an activity, which i and many hundreds of people enjoy as dangerous due to one event is naive and this dissapoints me as every other article I have ever read on your website has been excellent, so keep up the good work on those!

Well said Curly, the only disagreement I have is IMO new riders should not be straight into vlogging as it is somewhat of a distraction and they have enough to be concentration on being so green.

Yep, I agree on that one, I dish out that advice quite often! (some guy messaged me on y/tube the other week saying he was gonna get a bike just to vlog!)
 
I had something similar happen on camera. I wasnt vlogging but the camera was on. I had a tailgater behind me and you can see that right as I look in my right mirror the Nissan Cube in front of me hits his turning signal and brakes to stop and turn left. I looked up just in time to swerve into the oncoming lane, miss a car going the other way, get back into my lane, and complain about a car full of senior citizens stopped at a green light.

Just have to remember to keep the eyes front and center and learn to gather the most info possible at simple and quick glances.
 
That's Greddy1331, He's fine. Just hurt his leg a little bit. Apparently the UPS truck hit the brakes because of a low limb hanging down from a tree. Water dripped on his foot or something and he looked down to see what it was. (I'm one of his subs)

It did look like the UPS truck stopped really abruptly.

Nice work mate. It's a pretty broad generalisation on their part and I'm disturbed a well known motorcycle site like this has said it.
You didn't mention anything about them saying motovlogging is silly though?
