There are some days like this. But that's all part of riding. Hope you get it sorted out soon.
I've had my Daytona for about 5 years and have had a lot of issues. Started on DAY 1 with the stator and rectifier. Then another stator, then the CPS. Since I replaced all of them a few times I have not had an issue but also the connector between the stator and the bike tend to short out and cause issues like this also.
Good luck man. Triumph's are a pain but also the greatest bikes EVER..
Check the rectifier and stator. Those two caused the most issues with my bike.I can't find the problem and neither can my mechanic redone front wiring as there was a few splits and cut cables.. Rebuilt the fuel pump, new battery, disconnected the alarm system.. It all seems fixed after then it goes bad either the same day or the next. After the fuel pump I got a week of use from it and it did this above ^ literally lost all power without the engine cutting out this time round

Bummer
You mentioned the smell of fuel. I guess you checked fuel lines and filter are clear?
That could be the other issue. I had taken my tank off once and kinked the fuel line.
