Matlock is a big bikers haven, the roads are always lined with bikes and would be a great place to go to once we've all met up then you can take the road out of Matlock up into the peaks to Bakewell and onto Buxton. Then we can make our way over to the hotel, drop off the kit, lighten up the bikes and go for a tour and try to find some decent grub.

Going from CMC to Matlock then back to Buxton is a bit of a circle isn't it?

Still looks a decent ride from what google maps shows ?, im happy with dropping our gear off at the hotel. I am not going to Mcdonalds or some other 3rd world eatery just for the record :).

Matlock Bath is a nice place, thats where i saw number #2 harga aprilia mille replica.

Great roads loads of bikes.

CMC will be crammed at the start of the season so we could do with all meeting at the far end of the car park.

If CMC is Clay Cross then going to Matlock, Bakewell, over the peaks to Buxton then on to Northwich is a pretty straight route. Or am I looking at this wrong lol.

Clay Cross is slightly south of Chesterfield. CMC stands for Chesterfield Motorcycle Centre.

If you guys fancied a ride out there's some epic roads along these routes which a know quite well, pretty much living there and on the peaks over summer :p
Carl and I found a particularly awesome road from Matlock to Buxton and I'd love to show you guys.

Just depends if some of you will be up for it after 5 or more hours on the bike. There's many more direct routes to the travelodge.
CMC is only 20 minutes from my house :p

Hey, anyone who is coming add me on skype (carlsant1)
would be cool to get to know you before the meet!

i haven't got skype but do you have an iPhone or Android?
I have Fring which the same as skype but it dont cost a thing to call abroad and you can have up to 4 people talking at the same time.

I highley recommend this for everyone.

(Off subject i know but i just wanted to get it out there haha)

More off topic but combine fring with sipgate and you get a uk geographical number that works anywhere for free.

Loads better than skype.

on a trip to canada I disabled my mobile network stuff (airplane mode) on my phone, turned on wifi, had my parents and friends calling me on my uk number.

To call friends on their mobile back home cost me only 4p or something a minute. I threw on a bit of credit on sipgate via paypal when I needed to make calls, other than that it was free to receive.

It's the same solution I use at home for a landline. No phone line just cable internet, a dect phone and a linksys pap2.

Sorry for the off topic but thought it was worth a mention :) been using it for over 5 years.

Currently can't get that weekend off work. Someone's already got it off for their birthday.

I'm going to see what I can do, but with someone else already having it off even if I can get cover from another store I can't promise I'll be there until I actually am. :/

I'm going to get ringing around trying to get cover when I'm back at work on Saturday.
