My camera (Sony action cam) doesn't have a manual gain control. It has an auto gain control.
My bike and wind noise in my helmet overwhelm the cheap mic I have (I get lots of clipping). I've tried editing the sound file but I can't get rid of the background noise without ruining the quality of voice.
So, I got this mic which is what a lot of motovloggers use

I haven't tested it yet. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it. Is this one not as easily overwhelmed or something? So many have success with it but I'm not sure if they're able to control the gain more than I am.
I may have to go with a separate recording device if this doesn't work.
