I'm sure a few of you know about this already, but EE are giving all of their customers free power bars for charging electronic devices.

This works with any device that charges over USB. Phones, Ghosts, GoPros...

It is going to make a huge difference to those of us on bikes.

  • Capacity = 2600mah – which is enough to charge a typical smartphone once
  • The EE Power Bar is rechargeable and has a guaranteed life of 500 charges
  • It features charging indicator lights that will show how much charge is in the power bar
  • It features an LED torch
  • It includes a micro USB lead that will be used to charge bar but also to charge the phone form the bar
  • It takes approximately 4 hours to charge the power bar from flat to full
To get one, text 'POWER' to 365, and they send you a code which you can take to get your free power bar from any EE store.

Also, should it die for any reason - or you're out and about and it runs out of charge - pop into any EE store, and they should replace it with a freshly charged one.

I've used it on my phone so far - need to get a spare mini-USB cable for the cam - and it charges fast

I can't begin to tell you all how useful these things are...although they do get questioned at some airport screenings

I've never had issues with any of my battery packs on my many flights. Maybe the US airport staff are more paranoid.
