I've been looking a a BMW F650 GS. However its in Aberdeen, and I'm in Norfolk. They do UK wide delivery, but I'd rather not buy a bike I haven't seen.

Is anyone close to Aberdeen that might able to go and take a look at it? Naturally I'd repay you any petrol costs, and for your time.

I looked at the train, its £60 but 16 hours!

Its £190. Train is £70, then £60 petrol back. But the train is 15 hours, and the ride back 9hrs.

Would you really feel safe riding home 9 hours after 17 hours on the go? might be worth stopping off with friz/carl or someone on either leg or factor in a hotel

I would go up there, I'd get it delivered. Thats why i wanted to see if there was anyone up that way that could take a look. If not I'll probably take a punt, and not hand anything until its delivered.

I'm closer than most though Aberdeen is still over 2 hours away from me. I'd be up for going and having a look if you want me to.

But the petrol would be about £20-25 so it would still be better for you if there is someone closer.

i go to inverness thats wear my mum lives and takes 7 hours by train or 12 by coach have a look at the coach as last year i got up there and back for £15 then look for one of them 1 night bnb's or something take the case if u like buy it and ride it home XD

I live in Aberdeen and would be happy to help mate. Where is the bike? I'm pretty knew to biking so not 100% up to speed with what to look for in a second hand bike, but I have friends who do (including one mechanic)
