Anyone else who ran out of fuel?

87SLABSIDE runs out of fuel… And I'm wondering if anyone else ever ran out of fuel, and if I did something wrong? I went through a lot of trouble to get it to work again. And it should be easier right?

I have on my old KZ750 . It was my first long ride with it . One of the reasons I like the KLR650 . It has better fuel milage . I ended up walking to the next gas station and buying a gas can and gas . Luck has it a lady was driving by and seen me . She had a husband that rides and she picked me up and took me there and back to the bike . That day I learned that when you ride you join a large family . Now I always top off when I have a chance . I got a bike so I do not have to walk . LOL
