I really don’t think that’s too bad a fail! That’s not to say that you shouldn’t call it a fail for humour purposes, but certainly nothing to feel ashamed about!

A lot of scooters are really fast right off the line due to the fact that they (the CVT versions) don't have to shift gears, they're just twist and go.
Not to say that the guy's bike would have beaten you, but a lot of riders are generally surprised over how quick and nibble a scooter can be.

Yep! I can do it but usually don't. Just requires more gas to get off the line.
I agree Wolf and that guy had no clue we were going to race.
But he smoked me haha...I've had an electric scooter overseas before and it was quick/torquey. I can only imagine a gas one with more power, lots of fun to zoom around on.
