Any Floridians here?

I'm going on a trip to Florida starting this Friday. We're going down the west coast and then stopping in the Everglades to go kayaking with the snakes and gators. Then we'll be heading down the Tamiami Trail to Miami and hooking a right to go to Key West. On the way home we'll be cutting up the middle of the state.

Is there anyone in Florida that can suggest things to see or places to eat? We have a pretty full itinerary but we can bump something if a local suggests something better. We mainly need places to eat.
