Any bikes you regret selling?

What was the most silly fun bike you regret selling the most?
For me it was my very tuned and modified Yamaha RXS100 which I got for a "Race" series my friends and I came up with called the 125Hundreds
The series was so much fun, we all had a right giggle doing events like motogymkhana, green laning, and many other silly games.
I blew up my little RXS, put a hole in the piston and stupidly sold the bike on, I did however get more for it with the holed piston than I paid for the bike, so I guess that is a sort of win!

You know the story, young man meets dream woman, comes into some hard financial times, keeps woman, sells bike, makes bad decisions, loses woman, buys bike back years later, still can't get woman, never marries or has kids, spends his days buying motorcycles and posting on motovlog.com to fill the empty space inside lol

Just kidding. Void is filled. I'm here for the fame and fortune that comes from being a member lol

PS: Bike was a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50. I liked that I could scrape pegs on it on my very first ride. I really pushed that bike hard. Aggressive riding that was a mix of early 20s hyper testosterone and knowing that my father was dying making me liable to explode... In hindsight, some of my finest moments. In reality, mostly my worse moments. We have a funny way of forgettignoring the stuff that hurt.

My last bike was a C650GT BMW scooter. I didn't realize how much I liked riding that bike until after I sold it. If I could get another one I would, but I don't think they make them any more and certainly not here in Canada. They only sell the 400 now, which is too light for highway use.

I got caught into the stigma of thinking it was time to start riding a "real" motorcycle and leave scooters behind, but I also left all that fun, comfort, reliability and luxury behind as well. Don't get me wrong, the bike I have now is cool, but I really do miss that maxi scooter.

I've only ever sold one, because I've ever owned two. I'm the kind of a person who takes a long time choosing, and then also sticks to the selection, for a long time.
This thread made me investigate what is the state of my previous bike, and it has not been in technical inspection for 2 years now. It's still registered, but most likely has not been used for couple of years. The new owner did say he wants to chop it and modify it, so maybe that's what's going on now. Projects can take time.
Edit: It was a Suzuki VS800, and yes, I miss it, even though I have a great bike now. It was just so easy to ride.

God yes! So many actually! I've had a ton of bikes. The main 2 that come to mind though: I had a 2008 Hayabusa that I went nuts with.It was this bizarre combo of Turbo craziness, and sport touring farkles. Imagine a turbocharged Hayabusa with stock swingarms, a full exhaust(that was a PITA to do), and Corbin Beetle Bags. Like the full hard luggage. Also had a touring focused custom seat, heated grips, etc. I legit toured on it. 100k miles on the turbo build, 140k on the bike when I let it go. And it was running fabulous! I've had a bunch of Hayabusas going back to my pre-ordered bike, the original '99. The 08 was probably my favorite.

The 2nd is one I'm currently trying to rebuy. '07 VFR800 in anniversary colors with matching hard bags. 6th gen VFR's are legit my second favorite bike, and top favorite engine sound. Had a nice exhaust on it, the usual touring kit(see a trend? lol), and was amazing. I traded it in for my 2013 FJR 1300, and have regret it ever since.

There are others, like my 1200GSA, the FJR's, and an '04 z1000 that I rode like an animal. Funny enough, as much of a track nut and sport bike guy as people think I am, I don't really miss any of my supersports.

Ok, that's a lie. I do miss my 1098S. But not enough to buy another. Great bike, but an absolute torture rack if you aren't 20 with no permanent injury damage. lol

My Triumph Sprint ST1050 was just stunning - I did own it at the same time as my T7 for a while but sold it to pay off my sons car when he got his girlfriend pregnant! I'm now a Triumphless grandad! :D
Dude, that was a sick bike! I almost bought one instead of another VFR. Rode a bunch of them. I was just too hooked on the Honda. Still one of my favorite looking ST bikes. So pretty, and that triple is a killer engine.

YES the engine is a gem. The whole bike was special. I understand the VFR thing though - also always been a fan.

My V-Rod is currently listed for sale. I already know that I will regret selling it...
But these things have gone up in value and for what it's worth now I can buy two motorcycles, so...
She's on the market.

I regret selling my recent motorcycle a Honda Shadow Aero ABS VT750CS. This one is really cool but after some time I found that this one is not meant for me. I had many plans for this bike but all in vain.
