More worried about not being able to get out of the petrol station / Gas station, rather than other road users saftey.

What an idiot. My last video was like this, full of idiot's that think they can bully motorcyclist out of the way.

Wish I didn't see this kind of thing half as often as I do, both in real life an on YouTube.

I'm getting alot of hate from the guys at the sport touring dot com for my videos. The whole point I put the videos up is because I'm capturing something that happens all the time. Us riders talk about it, but its only words, when captured on video, its something different and you get to share it. These guys sound like your friend with that girl that is soooooooo hott but will never show you a picture or introduce her to anyone.

I don't see how any one can give any hate out with regards to this, now I know I'm not familar with US road laws but to me you did nothing wrong. The car's at fault end of!

Take no notice of them, there ovbiosuly hating because you've either got something better than them or they want to be in that situation. (& if it's the second one I'd happily swap with them)

That wasn't a close call at all, but I used to feel the same way when I first started riding. I would be mad for hours after some idiot almost killed me. After a year or so, you will grow to stop relying on drivers to see you, or drive safely around you.

In a fair world the person driving the big, hulking, multi-thousand pound metallic beast would be the one responsible for the safety of every pedestrian, cyclist, motorcyclist, scooter-warrior, etc. around them.

In the real world, you can only rely on yourself to be safe. You saw that car pull out from the left, and you reacted with seconds to spare. After a while moments like this will seem so common, they just stop being scary.

My point exactly, I'm not taking offense to it, I decided to share and of course, as a rider community, I thought they would rally lol

Definitely, I wasn't scared at all, I wasn't going fast, I was on the brakes already, so when she pulled the left as fast as she did, I wasn't surprised. some people call it irritating: I just say idiot.

I use the rev limited if it's not to close, and the horn if it's a close one.

Imagine you are riding a horse, and as you pass by a field a farmer almost runs you over with his tractor. But instead of shouting at the farmer, you take out your whip and start to hit your horse again and again until it gets really angry and it neighs and whinnys.

That sounds quite cruel I imagine, so please don't do that to your engine. You're supposed to love your motorbike! Just use the horn instead! ;)

If you've got time to beep you've got time to brake ;)

The one time I wanted to use the horn (car merged into my lane from the inside lane on a roundabout as we exited), I got all spastic and forgot where it was.

Ended up flashing my main beam, turning on the hazards, etc... Only found it after I was riding on the solid white line at the edge of the carriageway, bipped it, bloody driver moved closer to me (he was looking out the wrong bloody window).

So I swung my arm wildly at his car and thwacked his his door pillar, scared the shit out of him, but hurt my hand like a bastard though.
