Lol .. I bought my helmet from GhostBikesUK ... Very good very well wrapped... not even a mark on the helmet (would have sent it back) ... plus box was in pristine condition...

I was planning on buying from ghostbikes.com
Great range and great prices... You recommend?

that's one of the websites I viewed ;)

Forget how its delivered, it is VITAL that every part of your gear fits 100% ESPECIALLY the helmet.

I'd never buy a single piece of bike gear online, you must try it on in a shop first.

And as we were saying in another thread, you can get often get discounts in a shop. May find its just as cheap if not more so than online.
Helmet always yes, but for someone like me whose nearest dealership is £10 of fuel away (yes that is how i measure it :P) online is definately cheaper, i just make sure i measure myself properly and i've never had any problems with fitting :D
My nearest decent store is an hour away.

As people have mentioned.

Ghostbikes
Racevisors
Helmet City

These are the main stores I would buy from, Helmet wise, I try it on in store check for online prices to compare, ended up getting my helmet for £30 less than in store & there throwing in 2 Visors + 2 Pinlocks with tear posts. Can't go wrong with that. spoke to a guy on the phone at helmet city he couldn't ask for a better chap to deal with. I find it nice when you get someone on the other end who knows & is interested in what your asking rather than just going off a script.

I bought a double bubble screen a couple years back from Ghostbikes, ordered 4pm came next day 8am. Cant ask for better service.

Just so people are aware, when a item is being delivered you can sign for the item as damaged even though it's not. Everything I sign for I make sure I put down either, Unchecked or Damaged. So if there is any thing to report, I can back myself up, if not then Royal Mail don't care they just leave it. It's your responsibility to take it up with the supplier, so they then take it up with the courier.

I'm looking to get myself some leathers and I have a major problem with where I live as there are three shops that have very limited gear in them - particularly in leathers (I live in the North of Scotland and everyone is obsessed with textiles and staying dry for some reason :P).

The one thing that's really putting me off buying leathers online is when I tried ones on in Hein Gericke I'm normally a 40" chest and 31" waste and I was a 58/50 in the jacket/trousers. Now I don't have a problem with random number-wang normally but when it comes to spending £100s, I do. I'm really hoping the Scottish Motorcycle Show in just over a week will render some lovely Furygan gear for me to buy cheaply.

Lovley roads up in Scotland, & Lovely country side. I rode my brothers Gas Gas around for a week that was pretty cool.

Have you ever been up to the N/W of scotland, Dukes Pass or Applecross?

Wouldn't mind camping up there & checking them roads out, me & my boss must have spent about 2hrs (in work time ) getting the little yellow man checking the corners & the roads, date & time of year haha. Them roads are lovley, I'm half tempted to go up later in the year after the IOM.

Good idea. I normally start heading out that way when it gets warm enough for a day run, warm tyres are handy for that road, one of the curviest roads I've ever been on.

I waited for the hein gericke vouchers.

Buy £400 get £150 off type ones.

Bought a £380 jacket (it's bloody brilliant), £190 boots and £89 gloves and a few other bits and bobs so call it £670 for just over £400 in total as the vouchers I had stacked together.

Got the vouchers through a site called 4theride.co.uk I think.
