I'm (hopefully) off to uni in september, so i need a laptop.

I need one that's going to be decent enough to still edit video, but below £500 max, preferably more around £400 (a big ask i know!)

Most of you know a damn sight more about computers than i do, so any help is appreciated!

looking at the spec of that computer which Jolly has suggested it would work perfectly.

Pretty much the same spec in my PC but only difference is the Processor & Speed.

I'm assuming yours handles editing ok?

Yeah, if you look on the back of your editing software it shows you what processing speed it works at or needs to work at.

Mine runs smooth, on my 4y/o laptop it was jerky, didn't load.

To be honest, anything with an i3 will do the job. A dedicated graphics card won't go amiss either, but if you can find an i5 without a separate graphics card I'd go for that.

If you can find an i5 with a graphics card worth mentioning, then tell me! I'll want one!

I use an AMD Turion II M520 for video editing when on my laptop, sure, my Phenom II 940 kicks the living hell out of it in my desktop, but it's more than sufficient. Encoding takes its time though...
