Adding an extra camera to the bike

Where is a good place to mount another camera on the bike? I use a chin mount and want to add another view,. What has worked best for you all?

People seem to like a bar camera facing the rider, that also allows you to cut the video easier when getting rid of dead space between talking etc

Hippo is right - bar or fairing mounted camera facing the rider, and it does make scene cuts much less noticeable. I even put in footage once from later in the ride because you couldn't tell it wasn't the same road, but added to the flow

The longer answer is: anywhere you can mount one... down by the foot pegs, facing backwards around the rear fender, on a selfie stick off to one side, engine guards... they all work, and I've done all those

I have my 2nd camera mounted to the bars looking back at me too, but it's a 360° camera so I can point it in any direction. Gives me more than just two camera angles to work with!

I use the chin mount and one mounted on my front right mirror (sport bike) facing backwards.
I've seen a few people (mostly females) that mount a rear facing cam dead center of the bars or cluster... can't imagine why though .
As a male I don't think that view would appeal to very many people

I mount my rear-facing camera to where the viewer can see me wildly gesturing, and some of the scenery around me.

YUP! @Dewey316 uses 4 cameras regularly. I usually use 2, but sometimes I have a 3rd or 4th one running, and it's a significant increase in editing time!

It doesn't really change my editing time at all. I toss them in a multicam, same work to edit as 2 cameras. The 360 does add some extra time in though.

I should clarify - when running many cameras, I find it harder to decide which to use and when. Which adds time.

Now that you've got a 360 camera, you can spend hours reframing that footage... just saying

I think for one video, a 30-second clip took me about an hour to set up - I reframed the 360 footage to the beat of the music track I selected for it, and tweaked all the angles and stuff. It was fun, but not something I'd like to do on the regular.

I finally took a dive and bought a mount off BHPhoto that I can mount to one of my side mirrors on my 2004 Honda CBR100RR.

Honestly I have a 360 camera that I barely used this year. Mostly stuck with my GoPro, but after seeing how you use your two camera setup today, I think it's so smart, I'm definitely gonna start making the most of my 360 now. You inspired me man.

Having a chin mount as default, your other cam can be a either a selfie, or rear facing so you can mix and match footage in your edit.
