A Way Of Getting Your Video's Out.

I just do what I do. I share it on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Then this forum if it's motorcycle related (ok, my last share here wasn't bike related, but I had a reason) and a forum called "YTTALK" which is a pretty big YouTube creator forum (non affiliated with YouTube). And then reddit, oppositelock... and other places if I can remember. I don't expect anything though, if I did I would have quit already. Hahaha!

Reddit is the worst place to share motovlogs.

Especially /r/motorcycles. They have like an anti-motovlog circlejerk going on.

It is a veritable shit pile, and considering 80% of the traffic there is American, it has pretty much turned my opinion of American motorcyclists (with an internet access) a 180 into the abyss.

Steer clear before you get your nuts busted.

I'd much rather be speaking and sharing to a like minded community here (even if nobody here actually watches any of my videos) than reddit. At least no one is going around acting like the typical holier than thou.

Even /r/CalamariRaceTeam has turned from a no-judgement normal motorcycle sub to a place where some crazy ass shit is going down.

Well, I guess Reddit is out of my options then. Was about to start one there... You saved me, bud.

I'm slowly getting disgusted with Reddit in general, the community there is toxic.

Most people that view or post on reddit are teenagers who have absolute shit for brains that believe suing a person who hit you is going too far, but shooting or punching him back is very good.

I never had a problem with Reddit. Be respectful and participate and the worst that can (and will happen in 99.9% of the time) is your video thread gets ignored.
Only /r/motovlogging accepts motovlogs, but that's also because nobody goes there.

/r/motorcycles and /r/calamariraceteam WILL NOT accept motovlogs and downvote you and anything you say into oblivion. I didn't post there because some other people have done it before and they got downvoted into oblivion and called names.

That almost makes me wanna go there xD

I have been sharing on my social networks without any luck, I have not built up any following on ig fb or any other social platform under my "motov logging" handle! So im not sure also where the best places would be!!

I dont even know how to use reddit. Is it an app?
I post a lot of videos in relevant discussion topic on various forums. I dont spam anything, but if I see a thread about driving lights, I say "I fitted a pair by using..." and embed my vid. They always seem to do well because you are on topic.

Reddit is a bit of a BB board like 2chan or 4chan, but a whole lot neater.

But reddit being very popular, also draws in the dredges of the internet population and they dominate many of the boards, especially traditionally elitist forms of hobbies like motorcycles, wargaming, etc, where there is some sense of exclusivity to it. They start to form hive minds that ostracize those that have differing opinions.

So when you go to /r/motorcycles it's full of No motovloggers, ATGATT only, MSF is a must, Hi Viz Uncles, Ninja 250 starter bike crowd. And for /r/calamariraceteam , it's just weird, full of homosexual jokes and celebrating dangerous actions on motorcycles, when it was originally made as a separate sub for guys that didn't want judgmental people from /r/motorcycles.

It's a fucking mess as far a motorcycling subs are concerned.

Just tried Sharree. Mostly for curiosity.
Eh, I tried it, didn't like it. It's basically just a bunch of content creators putting content out for other content creators to watch. And most of them on it are from gaming channels, so there is little chance many would be interested in my motorcycle related content.

The need to make 3 comments a day on any video just encourages spamming useless words everywhere. Nobody really watches the videos from Sharree anyway. I still end up getting more viewers who are actually interested in my video's contents from the Youtube search bar or Google search.

I have actually noticed the things you say within about 5mins of using it.

That's no different than most public places to share your content. Look at the Facebook groups ... or even here. The majority of the users just want their stuff seen and don't want to watch anyone else. It's the same way with open mic nights at clubs. No one wants to hear your band, but they want everyone to listen to them.

Solid point, although for Motovlog.com, so far, I see it has a very good and constructive discussion base for editing, resources and other motorcycle discussions at least, even though it also fails as a platform for engaging a viewership.

Facebook groups, those actually have a lot of legitimate and successful uses other than sharing your own content, like being a discussion or organizing group for events and stuff.

But Sharree, eh, I have yet to think of something it can actually do that something else hasn't already done better.

True, on all counts.

Don't give up, just continue to share and post. The following might be slow to pick up, as long as you just be consistent there's nothing to lose.

I use Facebook Page instead of making a group.
