A couple of old roadside attractions

While out on a 300 mile ride today I spotted a couple of interesting old things. There were tons more but not safe to pull off for a photo.

The old fire truck is at least cared for. This is parked at the Beersheba Springs Volunteer fire station.

I wonder what the old garage was like in its prime. I can see some men just loitering about while someone's car is getting fixed.

I was trying to remember what does that firetruck remind me of. But now I recalled. Some 15-16 years ago, I helped Finnish historic lorries club to plan and carry out an ride in Northern and Western Estonia. And among their vehicles was this:

I bet they are of the same decade as the fire truck from my pic is what is called a tanker truck.

So yours could have carried the fuel to start the fire and this one came along to water it down to an ashy mess
