Pile of turd? What's wrong with it, those are great machines. Nice video though. :)

Yeeeaaahhhh whats wrong with it? For what it is, the sv650 is great. Its cheap to buy, cheap to insure, and cheap to maintain. It stays up with all other 600's and has the sound of the unmistakable v twin. Do i like my sv650? ehhh not entirely - but i know what it is and I plan to upgrade. why do you dislike yours?

Re: SV650 and CBR900rr

I really like your sv to be honest mate.

Looks sporty and sounds amazing, plus it really does go!

Re: SV650 and CBR900rr

for what it is with the right tyres, you can make twats on litre bikes look stupid, if you have skill, but i've come down from a zx6r 2009 plate and i don't like the drop in speed.

i know the sv650 is a budget bike and you can really tell it is a budget bike, doesn't feel as stable on fast corner's (fast corner anything over like 100mph or so) and the suspension needs some proper adjustment it can't handle fast riding the bike doesn't like it lol maybe after i've done some fiddling with it i may start to like it. but i was saving for a litre bike when i crashed my ninja and had to spend that saved money on that sv650 not the bike i wanted really lol maybe a FZ1 next i heard they're cheap on insurance and quick.

But cheers for the comments guys appreciate it greatly (as a first bike i think sv650 will rock but after already having a couple of 600's it's a bit poo)

Re: SV650 and CBR900rr

How did you manage to wheelie in 2nd and 3rd in what sounded like low revs? :O

Shush i like your bike!

1000000000x better than mine! :P

Saying that 99% of bikes are better than mine.. :P

Re: SV650 and CBR900rr

wheelie's weren't me they were my mate on his fireblade and well you probably won't be able to do that on your 600, maybe a v-twin 600 like mine because they have more torque but it's much easier on a litre bike, not saying it can't be done on a 600 because i've done them on a couple of 600's that i've owned but it's just easier with more torque in engine. when your 600 is derestricted try going hard on the throttle in first gear and then let off just as you hit power band (which compresses the forks due to engine braking) then straight wrap the throttle wide open really quickly it brings it up nicely but not too high. but just take it easy the first couple of times and then start to be more violent with the throttle and they will come up higher and higher
