So earlier today ( or yesturday which ever way you wanna spin it seeing as im writing this at past 1am) my chain came off my bike and pulled the wheel hub out with it making it unable to ride anywhere.

Anyways, i called my breakdown number and they said that they were going to be sending a recovery truck to come get me. After them texting me continuously telling me they were going to be another 10-20 mins, it turned up 4 HOURS AFTER I RANG!!!

Anybody else have anything like this happen to them?

Not really, on my end. But you should of at least gotten some sort of discount or incentive because of their lack of timely service. That's how insurance companies pay for their mistakes here in the states.

Chain came off your bike? Was it really that loose?
Well the sprocket bearing carrier had been loose for a while and I was on way my to get that fixed and get a new chain cos that chain was f**ked!

Pus the bikes Chinese so its expected...

And I'm emailing the company asking for some sort of free breakdown recovery in the future or something haha

Had to laugh when you said that, one of the riding schools round mt way bout 5 Chinese bikes to test and within a month all 5 were just scraped and striped.

Cheap yes, reliable?

When I had a puncture on the way to France, we were freaking out like crazy. It was a Sunday morning and we were booked to get on the Eurotunnel by lunch time.

A quick call to the Eurotunnel breakdown people (I'd cleverly paid the £50 to cover me over the two weeks just two days previously) and they sent the AA out. Told me on the phone it'd be 30 minutes but they probably wouldn't be able to fix it.
Instead, the man was here in 15 minutes and I was back on the road within an hour.

He did, however, tell me not to do more than 500 miles on his temporary fix - but I went off to Rome anyway. Last week, 8000 miles later, I changed the tyre ;)

What company was your recovery truck through?

Yeah, first the call centre said "Ok, we are sending a recovery truck it will be with you within the next hour and half"
I waited and then a AA transit van turned up, had a look at the bike, said "This isn't going anywhere, ill call you a recover truck." WTF!
That was meant to be there an hour after the van left. Then i get a text saying that the recovery truck has to take a legal 1 and a half hour break.... after that he finally turned up! -.-

When I had a chinese bike I had plenty of breakdowns, it was a failosaurus rex of a bike.

If I had a time machine I would go back to the moment before I agreed to buy the bike and hit myself in the face with a coal shovel.
