3 Axis Gimble For Gopro

They are for folk who don't tuck into the bike at all
I don't think this is true at all. Go check out SuperBike Racer's channel. I would link directly to one of his vids, but I don't have enough posts yet. There is also lots of track footage I've found before of people doing similar things on the gas tank.

Have just watched several of his vids and not one suggested he was tucked in on the tank, it would be impossible. What makes you think he is? :-)

I own 3 gimbals, a G4 for my Gopro, an MG for my GH4, and just got a Crane M for my RX100 V. They all work great and about the same, just as long as you hold them with your hand by the handle. I once mounted the G4 to the handle bars of my mountain bike, and the footage was unusable. The vibrations from the bike was too much for the motors of the gimbal to handle. It vibrated like crazy, and it is 10 times smoother without the gimbal. It works great if you hold the gimbal with your hand, but once you hard mount it, the vibrations are too much for the gimbal to handle. I haven't tried mounting it on my motorcycle. I gave up on the idea because I think the vibrations are going to cause the same problems. I just got a FDR-X3000, and that camera is rock steady since it has onboard optical image stabilization. A gimbal might work if you mount it on your body, since your body can get rid of the vibrations a lot better than mounting a gimbal on your gas tank, but I haven't tried it yet. Of all the gimbals I have, the G4 is the one I use the most, mainly because it doesn't weigh anything, and when I'm not using it, it fits in my back pocket.
