2-camera Videos.

Sounds easy enough, hit record on one, then record on the other, and go. However, what are people using to sync the video? I was thinking a quick horn beep as a sync point.

I want to mount my GoPro behind me, looking back, and use my helmet cam (Sena 10C) for the forward-looking camera. The final video will be mainly the Sena with the GoPro vid in the corner. Haven't tried it yet, haven't figured a good way to mount the rear camera yet.

I am just wondering what those of you who use 2 cameras do to sync the video.

A visual and audible cue is enough. like a clap. Anything that helps you identify time on both clips. This is why many video productions use the clapper devices with the writing on them.

I use a clapper on my other stuff, but hard to carry on the bike. May try the horn. should give a short enough spike.

Yeah I tried the first 2 video logging today... I clapped, which would have helped had I not needed to switch of one of the cameras.... ended up just syncing them by the time stamp on the file ;) easy enough.

I have been thinking about this as well, because i tend to cut my footage during the ride (remote and on/off)
Might use a rev every time i do a cut then...

Meifesto revving to town xD

Sound cues work best. I used 3 cams in a recent trip and that was a lot of footage to comb through but I think multiple angles really up the dynamic quality of the vlogs. I don't recommend playing the second angle continuously in the corner though PIP vids come across as boring to me for some reason. I think it's better to just cut back and forth between the different angles at key points or just randomly to break things up a bit.

For me start-ups work great most of the time! The last vlog I edited I got lucky. I pasted both camera footage on the track at random, hit play to figure out how close I was and it was 100% on the money! Most of the time I have to fiddle a bit.

The Drift Ghost S .. lets you sync the cameras to each other wirelessly I think via the remote control so they stop and start exactly the same time.

I already have my 2 cameras, and no desire in putting down any more money for gear.

I will try the horn, once I get some weather to try it out. Still need to mount the 2nd one.
