With the antenna up I can get about 1/8 mile without issue. But, that's with another rider on a 10S or other unit. I think with multiple 20Ss paired the range should be much better. But I haven't tested it.
Yesterday I did my first chain cleaning. It was much simpler than I'd worried about. Used the spray and wax from the local bike shop and tutorial from RevZilla. Picked up a $2 brush from the parts store. Also readjusted the chain as apparently I can't get it right, lol.
I think context matters. When I started riding I was using my Simpson Bandit SA rated helmet that's meant for automotive use. Swapping to a proper motorcycle full face after that was like night and day with visibility. Si I went the other way and find a decent modern full face to be very good...
Yeah this whole situation sucks. This is why I shy away from crowdfunding in general. Good, honest people lost a lot of money on this. I'm sad for the tech impact too. Even if a legit company comes along now offering something similar they'll be met with skepticism and fight an uphill battle...
I won the GoPro Hero 3+ Black that's my primary camera. It was from DirtFish Rally School. They did a giveaway every Wednesday for a while and it was the first one I entered.
The most recent thing I won was a guitar pedal that's worth around $180.
I think I've only went inside with the helmet on a couple of times. But I also don't stop for things often as I don't commute on the bike daily. If I do wear the helmet in I'll likely not record as it's technically private property.
So, technically, you're looking at a few things here ...
Like it's been mentioned, look at your analytics. But also, look at your render settings. One consideration with 2K/4K is the bitrate. YouTube will use a higher bitrate for higher res footage, so there is a chance that you get a bitrate...
Maybe I can get some time and decent weather soon and make another video. I've started a new job and have been working to get the house ready to sell all while dealing with pop-up storms every day for the last three weeks. So not much time for riding.
Daaawwwww! That's a cute pup too! I don't have any with my dog and the bike, but we've got a Husky. I'm a big fan of the medium sized (dog-sized) dogs. He looks like a terrier/lab mix maybe?
Yeah, I was going to say to check the project settings as well. If you are in a standard profile that's like 480i or something it'll downscale your footage to fit.
The microphone is more important, but both matter. A decent mic can sound really bad through a crap recorder. But a good recorder won't really help a crap mic too much.
The device absolutely affects the audio. The recorder handles the recorded format, sample and bitrate and compression. Most decent ones will have adjustable quality settings.
IKR. It was so tempting. My textile jacket has poor ventilation as well, so I was drenched after like 45 min. I need to go in to town today so maybe I'll squid up there and find a diner.
Yeah, the type of fuel makes a notable difference. If you run high octane unleaded it should be fine. But if you do leaded or airplane fuel the additives can cause issues, but mainly with sensors. Don't quote me on this, but "airplane fuel" might have a high concentration of aromatics like...
