Aftermarket Radiator Installed...

So I recently installed an aftermarket radiator on my 08 r6. The stock radiator began to leak for reasons unknown. I am noticing the temp gage seems to run alot hotter than the stock radiator and the temp really climbs at a dead stop. I am a little shy on coolant so I'm guessing that might add to the temp rising fast but do most aftermarket radiators run hotter in general?

That varies hugely depending on the capacity and design of the radiator.

Personally I'd stick to official parts for important things like the radiator.

thanks for the insight you are correct about going OEM I just was not finding anything decent online that wasn't beat to hell and back on looks lol no bike dealers anywhere close to me

What's it running at? r6's tend to be hot anyway to be honest!

Are the fans kicking in more?

You say you're shy on coolant? First thing ensure it's full with no airlocks.
