An App For That?

So is there like a super app for android or apple that does the same thing as the 500$$ motorcycle specific GPS that take you to the twisties and what not?

What do you all use?

Thats what I gather, I know if you have the dime to drop on the MC specific GPS thats exactly what they do, point you to the twisties.

Oh, I see. I guess doing it the old fashion way of asking other bikers in the area or via forums for the best twisty would still be the best option, apart from forking out the $$$ for those motorcycle specific GPS as mentioned.

I went even more old-school in March. I got to the area I wanted to ride, pulled into a gas station that had some motorcyclists in it and actually asked them where to ride. No electronics involved at all - just mouths open and words coming out.

That's the way.. And if you are in luck, they may even invite you to ride along with their group, no need to ride solo, and get to make some friends. :)

I sometimes use this app called GreatestRoad, it's free for iphone...might be on android as well. The routes are user generated, uploaded from other riders with the app. So you open it up, it shows a map of your area with way points. You click the way points and it shows the route, then launches into googlemaps gps. It's only as good as the community of riders around you though.

I've used that as well, with mixed results. As with all content that is user generated, caveat emptor applies!

Thanks, I've downloaded it.
