Can Of Worms. What Annoys You About Other Bikers?

Here in Barcelona, those who think they're the only bikers out there and go lane splitting and filtering like crazy, changing lanes without looking. Also, those that, at these kind of highways around the city, stay between two cars, blocking all the other riders that want to lane split. Man, it's okay, you just don't feel like doing it, you don't feel confident, you think it may be dangerous. IT'S OK! Just go back behind the car in front of you, let the others pass and try another time! And if you rev your engine to let them know you're there, they get mad. Selfish idiots...

1. Squids.
2. Open face helmets.

These two are burdens on society when they have accidents.

3. Street-stunters.

Idiots out to hurt someone or force legislation to punish them when caught.

4. Bike-type snobs.

Eg, cruisers that won't ride with sports bikes etc.
Hm, yeah, also those. Open face helmets don't annoy me that much, because I think they may ignore the consequences, and maybe some idiot recommended them that shitty helmet. But yeah.

The summer riders who think they're rossi but on the road.

Not wearing full gear.

The litre bikers who think anything less is beneath them.

Knee downers on public roads.

Chicken strip warriors.

Bikers that go too slow filtering but don't move over to let others pass.

Bikers that filter too fast.

I like loud pipes, but don't race it down a residential area.

Bikers who think they're too good to nod/wave.

I ride 1000s on the road. I also look at chicken strips to see if I can have a fun ride with someone or plan a fuel stop every 20 miles while waiting

We don't get to filter where I live, but the rest on your list, I totally understand.
I don't know why it bothers me when I see someone without any gear on, but it drives me mad!

Bike snobs really get me. But I've seen a fair number of crash videos of snobs recently who thouht they werebetterthan they were. One thing about communities and the Internet brings it closer, is that people are enticed to get the fastest, biggest, loudest, most impressive bike they can way before they are ready for it, just so they fit into someone else's view of what biking isabout. And they are getting hurt.

It's not about pulling your right fingers in and out, nor about twisting your right wrist, nor about pushing up or down with your left metatarsals, nor about chicken strips. It's about roadcraft and smoothness. the snobs can go xxxxxxx

Is a rider who commutes all year round safely on a 125 a better rider than a fair weather only weekend litre biker? I can't make that call, but...

You should have done that rant video. It would have been brilliant

Bike bias and extreme brand fanboys.

EG; Harley and KTM riders piss me off because they think their overpriced machines (ktms aside, are decent but expensive as heck.) are better than everything else.

And new riders who skimp on protective gear and end up buying exhaust systems when they can't even use the stock power properly :X

To be fair a new exhaust makes barely any difference to power if it's only a slip on.
New exhaust and new mapping/jetting on dirtbikes can yeild another 15-20% in horsepower gains which is a big deal on a machine that weighs 200-280lbs! It's not as apparent on new high output street bikes that put out 100+hp from the start. Still, I rather see $1000 go to nice boots, helmet, jacket and some riding pants. I cringe a lot whenever I see people in sneakers and chucks on bikes. Even with boots, when I was hit by a car I still split the tendon in my ankle :(
