Trading Ninja 250 For Cbr 600 F4i

hey,

So I've been trying to sell my 2012 ninja 250 on craigslist for about a month now. I priced it at $3100 and I'm at ~6700 miles with an oil change done 600 miles ago.

I've gotten little to no offers as of yet, and I really want a cbr 600rr.
I get an offer to trade yesterday, the guy tells me he has a 2005 600 f4i and he is willing to trade because that bike is too big for his wife.

Here is my issue, the bike has 44k miles do you guys think is a fair trade.

I'll have to compromise since i want a 600rr for the under tail exhaust and head light style but is it a good deal?

any specific reason?

I personally wanted rr because of the fuel gauge, undertail exhaust and aggressive look. I read most 600 will feel the same coming from a 250, so i went with the most appealing look and reliable brand.

Cbrs hold the value well but the mileage is high but that depends on the service history. How many owners did it have ?

I decided not to go through with it. I was really unsure because i had not gotten many offers for the bike and a trade for a 600 seemed really good. but I decided that i want the 600rr since I've wanted it for month now. plus i really don't want so many miles on my next bike since I'd like to keep it for a few years and i feel that much millage could be problematic.

You made the right decision. 44k is a little high especially for a super sport which is usually driven hard. I would personally try to get one with equal to or less than 20k miles.

There is a guy in my area who has been trying to sell his 600rr for a good price with 11k mile for like a month now. I finally lowered the price of my bike since no one has offered anything to see if i can sell it. I was just getting desperate to sell but i want a super sport not a sport tourer so ill wait.

600 F4i's are solid bikes. Miles are high, but i'm sure if it was taken care of you won't have to worry about too much. Get the valves checked and adjusted. Everything else should be sound, if it wasn't abused.

44k is nothing on a bike motor. I'd rather have a bike that has been ridden than one that has not. It's more likely it has been kept up in maintenance because if it hadn't it wouldn't still be running.

My F4i has 75,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ.

Honda makes a solid bike. Beaten or not, it still (probably) has a ton of miles left to go. I would've given it a shot for sure. (Plus you could've resold it for more than you got it for.. or at least you could around my area.
