Had A Little Spill This Evening...

So I may not be updating the channel for a couple minutes. low-sided on some fresh rainy roads. got to watch my bike fly out and high-side itself. Luckily i was going slower and i managed to fall into a ditch. I have a little road rash on my knee, but i've done worse on bicycles as a teenager. I had a support team of friends come after me and one of them road it home for me (less than a mile) because my knee had a boo boo and didn't feel good rubbing up against my jeans. there are a couple pieces that will prevent me from riding for a little while, but she's still solid. regularly updated vlogs will return at an unforeseen time. Thanks for your support and I'll see you on the tube!

Sorry to hear that dude. Glad you're OK and the bike is still solid.

Don't forget to share EVERYTHING through your vlogs! Putting the beastie back together (and healing yourself up too) is all part of the adventure tapestry of biking and we want to see your journey through it!

It'll be a lot more 'real' than somebody making boob jokes on a sports bike!

Thanks for the support everyone. Turns out I was just a little bit in shock and over reacted about my bike. I worked on it some yesterday and all I have that I couldn't fix is a bent peg. Then a friend came over with some risers and i wound up changing how the entire front end looks. Unfortunately I didn't film it because I get into the zone when I start working. I'll get it buttoned back up soon and be riding again in no time.

Glad to hear your alright. I had an MSF instructor who told me "there are 2 kinds of riders, those who've been down and those who are gonna go down" Its a sobering thought. I had a rough lowside when I was much younger when a lady stopped for no reason in front of me on a tight blind bend that was on a hill. I believe she was lost. I was lying on the road trying to get back up and remember some old lady trying to drive around me and my bike. Guess she had to get someplace important!

ouch. that's rough, man. First thing i see is my buddy and some random dude after i rolled over and he said "Stay still we're getting your bike up!" i checked my joints and shit and started standing up. Then he helped me out of the ditch. Good times, eh?

I guess it comes with riding. Its very cool that they helped you. I remember being so full of adrenaline and my first reaction was I just wanted to get up right away. What I should have done is stay down and let myself come to my senses. I remember getting my bike up and riding home. Just as I got going I felt kind of terrible really. My whole body ached from being whipped down hard and my one ankle really hurt from the bike falling on it. I made it home but I really had no business being on a bike at that time.

About 4 weeks ago I came up on a rider who had gone down when an old lady backed out in front of him. Looked like an honest accident. She couldn't see anything from where she was backing out of and he didn't see her in time to react. I stopped and was telling the guy to take it easy and make sure he was ok first. Helped him get his bike up and the cops showed up. He was riding a new sportster and it got a little dinged up.

thankfully my buddies wouldn't let me ride home. I feel like i could have, but it's better that I didn't. I did go the next day and completely rearrange the front end for no reason. stress relief maybe?
