I'm finally free of my p.m.s. (parked motorcycle syndrome) sentence! A little context...
6 months ago i was in a pretty bad accident that left me with a broken ankle. 2 plates and several screws later, it was put together but i still couldn't walk on it for a long time. about a month back, the doctor said i could start putting weight on it and put me on an aggressive physical therapy routine. I'm still a little way off from full recovery, but i can use my ankle and leg again in an almost normal manner.
So today was the day. My parents had been kind enough to store my bike at their house while i healed up so I went to pay them a visit. I pulled off the cover, brushed off some dust, checked the fluids and started her up. The gas in the tank had gone a bit stale so she wouldn't rev, but i got some fresh 93 in there and she did fine (thank god for efi!). It was chilly where my parents live (45), but nothing terrible. I get to a lower elevation and guess what.... Rain!!! It was a light shower with dropping temps and fading daylight. My visor wanted to fog over so badly that i couldn't close it and the headlight glare from other cars almost ran me off the road. 1.5 hours later, i arrive at my house, wipe my bike down a bit, take off my wet clothes and warm up for a bit. then followed all of that up with a bar date with my sweety.
My first ride in 6 months was about as bad as it could get, save icy roads. I still enjoyed it profusely, but I'm going to ask for a do-over this weekend. Hopefully i'll bring the right camera mount and record it for you guys.
I had to get this off my chest, so thanks for reading. I'll be bringing some new motovlogs to you soon!
