What Bike Next? I Need Your Help

So i did my first practical bike lesson on saturday and already have my test booked.
Now my a2 is a couple of weeks away from passing i need a new bike in mind to uprade
ill be restricted to 47 bhp
ive been looking at the following:
CBR 600RR
R6
GSXR600
CBR 400RR
Yamaha 450CC supermoto
Honda hornet 600cc
My cap is around £3k
and i like sporty / sport bikes and i like supermoto crossers

Think you're limited to the early CBRs as you can only restrict to 50% of the original I think.

Thing to do is go somewhere and sit on a few, see how you fit and take it from there really. Jordan's in Leeds have a wide selection of bikes, as do Bradford Motorcycles. No idea what's up your way, but find a bike "supermarket" and check out different bikes.

Don't buy from Ritebike though, they don't seem to be showering themselves in glory of late.

Get the Gixxer... they were made with comfort in mind - as comfortable as one can get on a sports bike hahah ~

Id vote cbr out of those. My test ride of the gsxr 750 was mediocre at best. Just personal opinion though. Sitting on a cbr didn't seem too aggressive. Sit on all those bikes and see what's comfortable to you

Are you travelling on the freeway frequently? If you are staying more on back roads I would try out a Supermoto. Disclaimer: I've never actually ridden a SM, only dirt bikes and adventure bikes. It seems that everyone I've met riding a supermoto raves about it and wished they made the switch sooner from a street bike. A supermoto is on the very short list for my next bike so I may be a bit biased.

Why not a ER6? I'm sure you can find one for less then 3k, its cheap to insure and run

The top 3 arent compatible with the A2 license. Look at CBR500, ER6, SV650, Ninja 300 ETC

you can get a re stricter kit to 49 bhp for all of those. as long as its 49 bhp you can ride it and ive found kits for them,

Check the original HP, you can't restrict to more than half the original bhp. CBR600F4 onwards was 102bhp (i think), the earlier ones were 95ish.

You have to restrict a bike that has no more than 98bhp to start with.

You can restrict the bike down to 47bhp as long as the bike as standard toes not exceed 94bhp from the factory.
