im thinking of switching to 720 60fps from 1080 60fps only because i get a hour more to record. from what i can tell i think it will be worth it only because i cant tell a difference between them. what do you all think?

1080 at 60 - for those who have the means, it's a nice thing to see :) ... and just wait for down the road when everything ups in resolution ~_~ . By then, 720p will seem like what SDTV is to us now :p .....

will your battery last?

I record on 720 60... Purely because i cant see the difference between that and 1080 60

yeah i got a way where my motorcycle charges my gopro and batteries wont die. i can record as long as i ride and will never die. i just made a video on it because no one else has thought of it as far as i can see.

If you don't have a 1080 display, you won't be able to see the difference between 720 and 1080...

I just bought a Wasabi Power battery bacpac for my Hero 3+ and from what I can tell, it has tripled the battery life. The GoPro bacpac doubles the life at best.

With more people watching on their telly with things like Apple TV I think the 1080 is worth it. I have an older macbook so don't notice much of a difference 720 vs 1080 until I watch on the big screen. Plus you're future-proofing your content to a certain extent. Just look back to anything posted on YouTube prior to say 2010 to see what I mean.

Shoot at the best quality that you can with the equipment you can afford. Content is king though, so if you're running outta space all the time and can't get a bigger sdcard yet, then scale down to 720p 60fps IMO. It's the moments you catch that make the videos.

The best quality. I started out uploading in 720p due to bandwidth issues. But somewhere I decided to upload in 1080p and never looked back. It looks so much nicer! I upload in 1080p30 for my regular vlogs, but the last two Cars & Coffee videos have been uploaded in 1080p60, and it's silky smooth if your player supports it.

I've just opened the door to 1080/60 fps and I won't be looking back! I'd rather carry more memory and catch the good stuff in as high a quality as I possibly can than not use the full capabilities of my equipment.

Why get a 3 piece Armani suit and leave the waistcoat in the wardrobe!?
