G'day there,

So the new 2015 Yamaha FJ-09 (USA spec) has been blowing up this week with interest.... me included! I think the bike looks the bee's knees as it's practically the adventure styling of the MT-09. I have seen a few test rides and reviews by some US motovloggers, but no news here in Oz yet :(

What do you guys reckon? Is the bike an interesting release? As i hear the price tag isn't too bad either, similar to the price of a new MT-09 I would assume.

Its an MT-09 with a bikini fairing, some touring comforts and maybe slightly taller suspension. Go ride an MT-09 to get a feel for the engine and handling, then if you like it, decide whether you want a naked or a sports tourer.

I've test ridden an MT-09, i liked the power just not the styling as i wanted a more adventure style bike i could put side bags and top box on. So if they EVER bring the FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer here to OZ, i'll snatch it up pretty quick! :)

Same here.
I did a video review of the MT-09.
Love the bike, the torque, but the rear suspension was sh*tty as hell, the RBW was to hard and the bike laked of any protection (it's a naked bike, so, pretty normal).

The Tracer seems to be the best answer for my concerns.
It will be available in february in France, be sure I will test ride it, and if I fall in love, It will be mine :).

I felt the same way about the naked, so IF they release it here in my country.... I will be one happy man! aha. Keep me up to date if you do get one MonsieurMarty :)

My one issue with it, is the bags are not a standard, they are an option. So if you dont buy the option for the bags the tail ends up looking like an after thought...

What in the heck is up with that mudguard :o ??! Kind'a looks like it's sticking into no man's land o_O .....

Its the same one that came on my fz8

ITs a good place to hang your riding jacket...thats about it.

It wiggles so much the license plate light will break off

Yeah!! I will review it next week!
Here a pic with me on the MT09 Tracer :

Notice the difference with the US version : The blinkers are not orange.

It seems to be a great bike, very good looking.
I can't wait to ride it!

Hmmm, not exactly sure what purpose those extra sets of air intakes on the sides serve... looks more like an afterthought o_O (or koala ears :p )~

To me, looks are just as important as the performance ;) ...
