What Bike do you ride?

The first ever busa that wasnt limited in so many lame ways was fast, but now i think the bmw s1000RR and zx12r and the zzr1400 all beat it. the busa just has more capability for mods to be made faster, and theres stuff like that y2k jet bike that has a faster top speed and the dodge tomahawk.

Yeah i think they are all pretty much equal now, maybe a tenth here or there, but most of that comes down to the rider. Ill be farked if i can launch that busa with everything its got off the line!

Oh yehh for sure man, you need to be pretty good at getting the absolute best from the bike launching it. The recorded times are always the best of 100s of runs done by the manufactuers, i know 1000s still have the best 0-60, and most are coming with launch control so it takes away that effort of launching them,

Yeah i was watching a vid the other day, it may have been the bmw, cant remember, but the way it launched with lc, tc and wc on was awesome. Just pin it and dump the clutch! (and hope it doesnt fail, ala dani pedrosa at phillip island 2007 haha)

Yeh, he should of been quicker to pull the clutch in, but when you become reliant on the electronics you dotn expect it to happen, like when marquez clipped pedrosa and cut the cable running to the sensor for the traction control which then caused pedrosa to highside because he put too much power on expecting the tc to catch it.

Indeed, its a whole different kettle of fish when relying on a system like that. Im all for new technology for riding, but what sort of riders (street) that this sort of thing will breed, worries me a little just for that reason.

In 10 years time, i dont think new riders will have the necessary skills to ride an old superbike safely. Can you imagine a 20 year old in 2025 riding a 1st gen r1 or gixxer flat out? Scary stuff man.

Yeh i like them as a gadget/gimmick, and by that i only mean the traction control, and wheelie control stuff, i think there will always be people able to ride them flat out but i do get what your saying they will come to rely on them, only gadget ona bike i dont see aiding you to ride faster is abs. Old bikes are usually more fun :p

Is that you colin edwards?? Haha, i love the sp1 and the sp2. I used to have the standard vtr1000, and always lusted after the upspec ones, but they were too dear at the time.

ITs the most fun ive had on a bike to date, people dislike them due to the problems on the sp1, but i think it adds to how fun they are, especially when they wana step out.

Me and my old man and a few of the old racing moles went out for a ride a few years back and a mate of a mate turns up on a suzuki burgman..... We all were thinking "you lost buddy?"

That burgman still gives us nightmares to this day. This bloke rode the shite outta that scooter, ive never seen anything like it! Scraping bits and pieces all over the road, and corner speed like a bastard. It was... Amazing haha :)

I ride a 2014 Yamaha R6. I was in love with the Ninja 636 but then I laid my eyes on this beast(R6) & fell in love all over again, haha. It's my main b**** so even if I get another bike, it'll never replace the R6.

They are an awesome machine, i was never a fan of the older gen ones, but when they re did the shape and engine i loved em, still do.

My first bike was a Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme (It's India's manufacturer for the masses), with a 150cc mill. I then upgraded to a Royal Enfield Classic 500 purely out of chance. Someone at work had owned it for 6 months and then decided biking wasn't for him, managed to get it for a steal. Not enough posts to show y'all a photo of it. o_O

I currently ride a honda cb500x, when i pass my my test want two bike eventually. A triumph 675 daytona and a honda vfr1200x.
