Pinlock Inserts

I started doing a vlog this morning. One of my better ones I may add, I was focusing on removing umms and erms etc.

After about 7 minutes I remembered that I had not removed my external microphone because of the proposed rain. Oh well.

Part of my vlog was about how my pinlock visor on my Scorpion Exo 500 wasn't working so well, appeared to be fogging or misting. I washed the visor this morning, both inside and out, and noticed that water was getting between the pinlock and the inside of the visor. Like cheap double glazing.

So ... I know I can buy a new pinlock visor for less than 40 notes, but does anyone know if it is possible to take off the pinlock insert, clean everything up, and reinsert it so that it works like new?

Yeh my visor i have to take the screws out of the pinlock pegs then it allows me to remove the inset more easily, but they are reusable aslong as there not damaged :p

I managed to send half of one of my pins flying across the room once. Contacted Nolan UK to try and get some more, and they sent me a handful FOC, very nice of them!

Thats always brilliant, yeh hjc planned ahead they give you pinlock tabs spare and theres also 2 more free on the second visor you get. Must be a common problem to send them flying all over.
