Ex Motovloggers

Marbro_za

Dan's princess
So recently started cleaning out my Sub list, anyone that hasnt uploaded in the last 2-3 months, i removed.
Sadly, i dropped about 40 guys...

Anyone else missing people now?

It's a hobby to a lot of people and real life (kids, work etc) can get in the way I suppose.

I've only recently got into it so I won't have seen people drop off the radar yet.

I'm not as harsh as you @Marbro_za. I delete people who haven't uploaded in a year, unless they're active elsewhere but haven't had time to upload. I know a few who haven't uploaded for a while, but they will be back.
Others just give up or move onto something else.

I've got SO much footage, I'm going to be posting continuously through and beyond Christmas!! I need a team of editing elves to clear the backlog!!

Maybe I'll come out shining like Forrest Gump when his is the only Shrim'bowt left standing!

I keep subs to a minimum anyways. Basically no action in a couple months- then they are gone baby! I also delete my subscribers that have no video's and no youtube activity. I get about 4 of those a week.

What I really don't get about my subscriptions, is that I have quite a few yet YouTube picks 3 or 4 and puts then on my 'What to watch' homepage. It then fills the rest of the space with completely irrelevant 'Suggested channels' that I REALLY don't want to watch!

Why doesn't it fill the page with channels I've already TOLD YouTube that I like!?

We talked about that in this thread no so long ago.

I refuse to delete from my sub list people I enjoy (or enjoyed) watching.
Sometimes they take a break, sometimes they disappear for a while, sometimes they die, vlogging gets old for them, they grow up, start a family, they don't have enough time to vlog...
There are lots of things happening to vloggers, that doesn't mean, in most cases, that they have given up.
Sometimes they get forgotten then you jump out of your seat when they upload something after so long...
Also, you are giving a very short timeframe. Take my channel for example. I upload one vlog every 4 or 6 months. For external reasons, I just can't do better. That doesn't mean I gave up or stopped vlogging. I just can't publish my material on time.

I miss one vlogger that fueled up a few of my vlogs when I went out to ride silently with no ideas. I'm his sub number 6000. I just hope he's still riding at least.

I'm on the same boat.
Do a ride with friends, come back with hours of video + your commute video + your whatever video. fuuuuuuuuuu.

AndyManCam, don't you find it a little painful to look at older footage though?

Quite the opposite as I'm slowly trudging my way through the footage from my recent Euro roadtrip. I took 3 cameras and got 700 GB of footage in 2 weeks. I'm almost half way through with the 11th episode rendering as we speak! So it's like looking at your holiday pics and remembering the great time you had! 2 days were pretty tough though. And they're next up. Kind of dreading cutting those videos. I wasn't in a happy place!

I haven't been able to do any commute videos for ages. If I did, I'd simply NEVER catch up! And I've got ideas for new features, reviews and How-To's sitting on the shelf already! Just waiting to be at least almost on top of the whole thing before I record them!

I understand where your coming from. Have to say its hard to make the time to cut and edit vids when life gets in the way. Well at least for me it gets like that. I try not to unsubscribe unless there content gets bad.
